Structural Design Engineer:

Job Description:
The Structural Design Engineer will be responsible for designing connections and ensuring the structural integrity of steel projects. This role includes providing stamped drawings and working closely with project teams to meet client specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and analyze structural connections in compliance with AISC standards.
• Prepare and review detailed design calculations and drawings for structural steel components.
• Provide stamped drawings and ensure all designs meet local and national building codes.
• Collaborate with project managers, fabricators, and other engineers to ensure design feasibility and constructability.
• Conduct site visits as necessary to assess project requirements and ensure compliance with designs.
• Assist in resolving design-related issues during the construction phase.
• Maintain organized documentation of design processes and calculations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural design, specifically with AISC structural steel.
• Proven experience in connection design and stamping work.
• Proficiency in structural design software and tools.
• MBS - Metal Building Software is highly preferred

 Preferences:

• Previous structural design experience with working knowledge of current building codes and standard industry practices
• Current Structural Engineer (SE) or Professional Engineer (PE) registration
