Job DescriptionWe are actively looking for a Mid-Senior Level Structural Designer to join our team. This role performs their job functions under the supervision of a project's Engineer-of-Record. Structural design focuses on the design of structural and stainless steel, concrete, masonry and wood buildings and other structures. Tasks include assisting with 3D modeling and design, conducting field investigations, performing red-to-black markup/review tasks, and producing discipline deliverables.
Responsibilities
- Responsible to lay out Structural systems in conformance with code requirements and in coordination with other design disciplines
- Conducts field investigations to integrate the design with existing systems and structures
- Produce discipline deliverables such as foundation and framing plans and structural elevations and details utilizing computer aided drafting engineering software in conformance with CRB's VDC standards
- Work with some independence on drawing development and 3D model setup while working closely with other architects, engineers, and designers and other internal and external team members to ensure a coordinated, constructible, and complete design
- Work closely with the VDC coordinator on drawing setup and execution strategy
- Work on a variety of Structural assignments, likely on more than one project simultaneously, and will be expected to work closely with Structural staff members to ensure assignments are completed accurately and efficiently
Minimum Qualifications
- Applicable Associate degree or technical trade school certification
- 3 to 7 years of experience required including field experience in either a design or construction capacity
Additional Qualifications
- Advanced proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD is required
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office preferred
- Experience with implementing fundamental design aspects of structural components preferred
- Ability to interface with client and external partners preferred
- Ability to travel as required for client development and project execution preferred
