Engineering Systems Inc. (ESi) is a multidisciplinary engineering and scientific investigation and failure analysis firm. We primarily work with law firms, insurance companies, and manufacturers on small to large-scale projects to answer any technical questions they have. As a firm, our projects can entail investigating major transportation accidents, equipment failures, personal injury claims, and damage to residential or commercial structures. In many cases, we provide structural design services for repairs and retrofits to damaged or otherwise deficient residential, commercial, and industrial structures. About This Role
ESi is seeking a senior-level structural drafter to prepare preliminary through final construction drawings for a variety of structural repair projects. A successful candidate will work under the direction of an ESi engineer to develop neat, legible structural construction documents that meet company and client quality standards and support the Engineering processes for a wide variety of projects.

A successful candidate will work under the direction of an ESi engineer to develop neat, legible structural construction documents that meet company and client quality standards and support the Engineering processes for a wide variety of projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Help to develop AutoCAD/Revit libraries, drawings, templates, and details
- Help to develop company Revit drafting standards.
- Use AutoCAD/Revit to prepare construction documents.
- Develop structural plans based on field measurements and/or existing drawings to include major components such as columns, beams, joists & headers
- Generate details from structural plans for engineer review, redline, and sizing of structural components
- Coordinate with engineers and implement engineer’s markups/comments
- Clean backgrounds from architect
- Ability to link Revit models to create structural plans
- Set up sheets to create a structural set of drawings
- Check for inconsistencies and other coordination issues between drawings
- When required, communicate verbally and in writing with clients, other consultants, and contractors
- Perform other duties as the need is apparent or as assigned
Qualifications
Education
Education
- 2-year Technology degree, equivalent or similar
Experience
- 5 years of structural drafting experience minimum
- Proficient in utilizing AutoCAD and Revit for drafting structural and architectural drawings.
