Structural Engineer - Selectek, Inc.

Selectek is looking for a Structural Engineer in Atlanta, GA.

Required:

• Bachelor Degree; Civil/Structural Engineering required
• Master’s Degree – Civil/Structural Engineering is a plus
• 5 - 7 years of Revit and/or BIM (Building Information Modeling)
• 5 - 7 years of relevant project design experience
• 5 – 7 years of structural engineering experience; strong understanding for core structural engineering concepts
• ·Experienced in managing multiple projects simultaneously
• ·Strong leadership skills – ability to manage and build teams effectively
• ·Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
• ·Highly organized, detail-driven and conscientious
• ·Is attuned to other areas as it relates to total project: structural, mechanical, electrical, architectural and site requirements
• Passing Fundamentals of Engineering exam required, Professional Engineer certification preferred.
• Revit Structural experience preferred
• RAM Structural System, RAM Elements, Etabs, and RISA experience preferred
• Ability to work in a dynamic team setting with overtime

 Job Details:

• Manage assigned projects by providing direct supervision, mentoring, and overall leadership of a design team
• Develop project scope, schedule and budget estimates
• Identify resources needed and effectively delegate staff duties and responsibilities
• Demonstrate ability to utilize accounting and scheduling software for project management
• Create and execute project work plans
• Analyze accounting reports and project schedule for variances
• Monitor work for adherence to project scope and identify out of scope actions
• Resolve scope, schedule and budget discrepancies internally and with our client
• Prepare and submit appropriate project reports
• Participate in contract negotiations
• Establish client contact and maintain positive relationships
• Serve as primary interface between client and staff for a given project
• Coordinate, monitor and review work performed by consultants
• Practice good time management skills, demonstrating ability to work efficiently within time constraints while dealing with numerous concurrent activities
• Networking, including active participation in and leadership of professional organizations
• Demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills to interface effectively with internal staff, clients, contractors, agencies and the public

Pay range:  $35/hour - $50/hour ($73,000 - $104,000 annual salary)
Pay when direct: Salary
Hours & Shift: Monday - Friday 8AM – 5PM - core hours would be 9-3
Overtime: possibly
WFH:  possibly some if the person is self-sufficient
Travel: Not typically while on contract - just possible local site visits
Work Attire: Business Casual
