As a senior member of the Project Team, your leadership and structural engineering expertise ensure that our buildings and water-bearing structures are designed and constructed to the highest standards of integrity and functionality. Your involvement in all stages of project development, from planning and design to construction completion, is critical to the success of our projects. By bringing your deep understanding of industry standards and proficiency in structural design software like RISA, you will drive the quality and efficiency of our engineering solutions. Your exceptional communication skills will foster collaboration and coordination within the team, enhancing our project outcomes. Your daily impact:
- Lead the planning and development of project designs for buildings and water-bearing structures within the water infrastructure, performing advanced structural calculations for preliminary and detailed designs.
- Oversee and coordinate with a multi-disciplined project team, including Civil, Architectural, Geotechnical, Mechanical, and Electrical disciplines, ensuring seamless project execution.
- Prepare detailed structural reports, plans, specifications, and document calculations to support building permits and regulatory approvals.
- Develop and manage structural cost estimates and project budgets.
- Supervise and guide junior engineers and technical staff, providing mentorship and technical support.
- Assist during the construction phase by reviewing structural and architectural submittals, responding to Requests for Information (RFIs), conducting field inspections, and ensuring compliance with design intent.
- Document observations, prepare reports, and support the acquisition of Certificate of Occupancies and other regulatory approvals.
- Ensure all structural projects comply with industry standards, pertinent codes, safety standards, and pollution prevention plan requirements.
What you bring to the table:
- Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited engineering program.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) and/or Structural Engineer (S.E.) license required.
- 7+ years of experience in structural engineering, focusing on water infrastructure projects.
- Proven experience in leading project teams and managing complex structural engineering tasks.
- Self-motivated with strong leadership capabilities, able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to perform office and field work as required by project needs.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Project) and structural design software such as RISA or equivalent.
- Extensive knowledge of structural design and construction industry standards for water infrastructure.
- Commitment to staying current with industry advancements, new technologies, and evolving structural engineering standards.
- Adherence to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.

Competitive salary commensurate with experience, ranging from $130,000 to $175,000, with a 10-20% bonus paid annually, based on qualifications.
