Immediate opening for a structural engineer with a formworks background.

Summary:
A Formwork/Structural Engineer to prepare shoring drawings and structural designs for the construction of multi-story concrete buildings.

Job responsibilities:

• Preparation of applicable calculations.
• Creation and maintenance of AutoCAD drawings.
• Production of drawings for use in the field.
• Coordination with field staff and assisting with field inspections.
• Prepare shoring drawings and structural designs for the construction of multi-story concrete buildings.

Required:

• BSCE (Structural Emphasis)
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of and ability to perform basic structural analysis calculations.
• Previous experience in engineering/designing concrete buildings or structures.

Preferred:

• Previous experience in reinforced concrete and timber design.
• Previous hands-on experience in construction.
• EIT/PE Certification.

Pay:  $25-$34/hr.
Location:  Smyrna, GA
Duration:  Temp-to-hire
