Selectek is seeking a Structural Engineer for a contract-to-direct role with one of our partnering firms near Kennesaw, Georgia. This firm specializes in commercial and retail projects, so candidates will need a background working with wood- or steel-frame projects.
Employment Type: Contract-to-Direct
Location: Kennesaw, GA
Expected Hourly Pay Range: $29.00-$38.00 based on experience and certifications
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- 5+ years of experience in structural engineering
- Strong background in steel frame, metal stud, wood, and concrete block buildings
In addition to these requirements, candidates must be eligible to work in the United States as Selectek is unable to provide sponsorship or work visa documentation.
Job Duties:
- Produce structural drawings in AutoCAD, primarily single-story sites including restaurants, retail stores, and strip centers
- Design framing and wall section drawings
- Perform calculations and structural analysis as needed
- Incorporate metal stud and bar joint design
- Travel to sites around the area for inspection as needed
Schedule: Monday Friday, typically 8:00a 5:00p.
