We are looking for a structural engineer to assist in structural investigations, analyses, and repair design. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Review of structural designs for code compliance
• Structural analysis, document review, and research for root cause evaluation
• On-site inspections and collection of data
• Preparation of reports and repair details
• Perform all other duties as assigned by your supervisor or manager

The ideal candidate possesses:

• 2 to 10 years of experience in the design and/or investigation of structures
• Experience in the investigation of structural failures and/or preparation of reports for attorney clients preferred.
• Licensure – EIT min., NYS PE preferred
• Degree – ABET-accredited undergraduate degree and Master of Science or Ph.D. in Civil/Structural engineering
• Solid foundation in the principles of mechanics.
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient in structural analysis software such as SAP2000, RISA, STAAD, or RAM
• Familiarity with building codes and standards including IBC, ASCE 7, AISC 360, and ACI 318
• Experience in field and/or lab preferred.
