Our client, a respected and growing engineering firm in Omaha, NE, seeks a highly skilled Structural Engineer to join their team. This full-time role will focus on residential structural projects, particularly basement structural repairs and reinforcement.
About the Opportunity As a Structural Engineer specializing in residential structures, you will play a vital role in evaluating, designing, and overseeing repairs to ensure the stability and safety of basement foundations. Your expertise will support a variety of projects from start to finish, providing technical assessments and solutions that meet both regulatory standards and clients' structural needs. You will collaborate closely with the firm's design team, construction professionals, and clients to deliver reliable and effective solutions.
Position Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering or related field; Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred, but Engineer-in-Training (EIT) candidates with relevant experience are welcome.
- Experience: 5-7 years in structural engineering, ideally with hands-on experience in residential basement or foundational projects.
- Skills: Proficiency in concrete and steel applications and familiarity with residential structures.
- Client-Facing Skills: Strong communication skills to effectively explain technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Location: Candidates in the greater Omaha area are preferred.
- Eligibility: Must be authorized to work in the U.S.; sponsorship is not available.
