Position Overview:
As a Structural Engineer I or II, you will utilize engineering systems and drawings to deliver project coordination, structural design services, and modeling for customers. You will play a critical role in ensuring that designs meet customer requirements and department objectives, with a focus on continuous improvement and achieving profitability goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop efficient designs for structural members and connections, ensuring compliance with customer requirements and internal objectives.
- Ensure the structural integrity and safety of designs by reviewing and checking the work of other designers.
- Sign, seal, and date drawings, specifications, reports, and other project-related documents for the metal building portion of projects under your direct supervision.
- Expand your technical knowledge and expertise in products and procedures.
- Meet design schedules to ensure customer needs are met on time.
- Collaborate with project teams to identify challenges and develop cost-effective solutions.
- Provide technical support and assistance to customers on specific projects.
- Mentor Design Engineers by offering technical guidance, feedback, and support on internal design procedures and tools.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering.
- Professional Engineering (PE) registration.
- 3 to 6 years of engineering experience.
- 2 years of experience working on complex multi-unit projects.
- Strong knowledge of building codes and steel design.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience with pre-engineered buildings (PEB).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit.
- Competence in company-specific systems and applications.
- In-depth knowledge of company products and design procedures.
