Structural Engineer - Selectek, Inc.

Job Overview:
We are seeking a talented and motivated Structural Engineer to join our team in Tallahassee, FL. The ideal candidate will be responsible for engineering design and assisting in managing projects for new industrial projects and additions to existing facilities. You will coordinate structural designs with other engineering disciplines and ensure alignment with client requirements. The position offers a combination of project management and engineering design responsibilities, with job duties tailored to your level of experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct engineering design and project management for new industrial projects and modifications to existing facilities.
• Coordinate structural designs with other engineering disciplines and client requirements.
• Produce high-quality documentation, including construction drawings and steel fabrication drawing reviews.
• Interface effectively with vendor personnel and the client’s team.
• Lead and direct junior engineers and designers in document production.
• Work with project teams to ensure structural designs are integrated with other engineering disciplines.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Proficiency with structural analysis software such as STAAD Pro or similar.
• General knowledge of AISC standards and AWS codes.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Experience in structural analysis, documentation, construction drawings, and steel fabrication drawing reviews.
• Experience with concrete and foundation design.
• Ability to work with 3D modeling software such as AutoCAD and Navisworks.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in commercial or industrial design work.
• Familiarity with TEKLA, RAM, or similar software.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certification or higher is a plus.

Work Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM or 7 AM to 4 PM (flexible hours available).

Location: Tallahassee, FL
Salary Range: $60,000 - $100,000 (based on experience)
