Project Engineer (Structural) Phoenix, AZ $70k-$120k

Responsibilities

• Generate project design criteria information.
• Analyze and generate structural calculations with respect to vertical/lateral loads and foundation (Conventional/Post Tension) design and assist in the preparation of construction documents for framing, shear wall, foundation plans and structural details.
• Review soils report information and determine foundation design intent.
• Review shop drawing submittals.
• Prepare responses to governing municipality plan review comments.
• Commit to project deadlines and general schedule defined by higher level team members immediately notify them if schedule or deadline is jeopardized.
• Consistently communicate project related design issues to higher level team members.
• Review own work for accuracy and thoroughness.
• Enter project related information in the project information database.

Requirements

• BS or graduate degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
• EIT required, PE preferred
• 4+ years of structural project management experience (creating engineering design criteria)
• Residential experience preferred (commercial transition is okay)
