Structural Steel Erection Estimator

GPAC is seeking a knowledgeable Structural Steel Erection Estimator for immediate consideration. GPAC's client is a full service, turn-key construction company specializing in all erection-oriented projects. They specialize in various commercial and industrial complex steel structures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review project drawings, specifications, and site conditions to prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for structural steel erection projects.
• Analyze labor, material, and equipment costs for steel erection, including welding, bolting, and other structural activities.
• Coordinate with project managers and engineers to ensure estimates align with project scope and timeline.
• Prepare and submit detailed bids and proposals for structural steel erection projects.
• Maintain relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to gather pricing and material cost information.
• Assist in project scheduling and cost tracking throughout the project lifecycle.
• Respond to requests for clarification and provide post-bid support as needed.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience estimating for structural steel erection projects.
• Strong understanding of steel erection methods, materials, and costs.
• Proficiency in Tekla software 
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and blueprints.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Salary: $100,000 - $140,000 (dependent on experience)
