We are looking for a seasoned Structural Steel Fabrication and Erection Project Manager to oversee and manage our projects from start to finish.
Position Overview: The Structural Steel Fabrication and Erection Project Manager will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of structural steel projects, including planning, coordination, and execution. The role requires a strong background in structural steel fabrication and erection, with at least five years of industry experience, including two years in a project management or assistant project management role. Proficiency in Tekla EPM is essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage structural steel fabrication and erection projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Develop project plans, including scope, schedule, and resource allocation.
- Coordinate with clients, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure project requirements are met.
- Oversee the fabrication process, including material procurement, production scheduling, and quality control.
- Manage the erection process, including site coordination, safety compliance, and troubleshooting any issues that arise.
- Supervise and mentor project teams, including assistant project managers, engineers, and field personnel.
- Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring accurate cost estimation and financial control.
- Monitor expenditures, manage change orders, and implement cost-saving measures.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and contractual obligations.
- Conduct regular site inspections and quality assurance checks.
- Utilize Tekla EPM software to manage project data, track progress, and generate reports.
- Ensure accurate and efficient use of Tekla EPM for project planning and execution.
- Prepare and present regular project reports, including progress updates, financial status, and performance metrics.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and correspondence.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the structural steel industry, with at least 2 years in a project management or assistant project management role.
- Proficiency in Tekla EPM software, strong leadership and communication skills, and excellent problem-solving abilities.
- In-depth understanding of structural steel fabrication and erection processes, industry standards, and safety regulations.
