Structure Lead / Supervisor
Pay: $30.00 - $33.00 per hour, based on experience
Hours: Day Shift

Job Type: Full-time, Welding
We’re looking for a Structure Lead/Supervisor to oversee our team in the construction of structural steel components at our Catoosa facility. In this role, you’ll guide production, manage schedules and costs, and maintain high standards in quality and safety. While a technical degree is preferred, we welcome candidates with 10+ years of experience in welding or fabrication to apply.
What You’ll Do:
- Team Leadership: Lead our manufacturing team and coordinate with suppliers to ensure smooth production of structural steel components.
- Hands-On Work: Work alongside your team on welding tasks, actively supporting project goals.
- Production Management: Create and oversee production schedules to keep operations on track and efficient.
- Quality Oversight: Visit subcontract suppliers to ensure their work meets quality, cost, and timing expectations.
- Facility Management: Ensure our facility and equipment are prepared to meet production demands.
- Cross-Department Communication: Work closely with Engineering, Purchasing, and Project Management to streamline costs and meet deadlines.
- Staff Management: Direct and support shop personnel, adjusting staffing as needed to maintain productivity.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Technical Knowledge: Experience with AWS and CWB standards, welding procedures, and ability to interpret blueprints and specifications.
- Supervisory Experience: Skilled in team management and providing guidance to improve team capabilities.
- Production Planning: Comfortable with ERP systems for scheduling and BOM management, and knowledge of labor and material costs in structural steel fabrication.
- Collaborative Skills: Work well with departments such as sales, quality, and engineering to meet customer expectations.
Requirements:
- Education/Experience: A technical degree is preferred, or at least 10 years of experience in welding or fabrication.
- Hands-On Welding: 2-5 years operating MIG, TIG, or SAW equipment.
- Physical Ability: Able to lift 50 pounds, walk 10,000-20,000 steps per day, and occasionally travel between facilities.
