About the Job
We are looking to add a mid-level analytical person to our team. Arena is focused on a wide range of structured credit and asset-based investments. The new hire will support the structuring, ratings and closing process for private credit and asset-based financing transactions for our insurance company clients. The contributions of this new hire will be crucial to the development and growth of our investment management capabilities.
The Associate will focus on supporting the senior structurers across lower flow and novel securitizations globally. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in asset-backed finance with specific expertise in consumer, commercial and esoteric ABS transactions. Specific responsibilities will include:
Responsibilities will include:
- Create and maintain cash flow models using Excel and Intex incorporating rating agency methodologies for unique private asset-based financings
- Work closely with portfolio managers, borrowers, and rating agencies to structure and execute transactions designed to meet the regulatory and capital efficiency requirements at our insurance company clients
- Analyze historical performance data to develop assumptions across various scenarios
- Maintain knowledge of public markets and review comparable securities for structural developments and alternatives
- Help assemble information and memos for investment committee
- Collaborate with colleagues to drive success
Requirements
Qualifications include:
- 4+ years of professional experience in ABS structuring and cash flow modeling
- Masters degree preferred but a BA/BS with related professional experience is acceptable
- Proficiency with Intex and Excel while other coding skills (VBA, Python) are recommended
- Knowledge of and experience in the ABS market and various credit products including ABS, CMBS, RMBS or CLOs
- Demonstrated ability to ensure deliverables meet required specifications and deadlines
- Experience working with rating agencies is not required but preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving skills, work ethic and team player

- Fluent in English with the ability to write and present in English
