Student Engagement Coordinator, Professional MBA
Job Summary
The University of Utah Professional MBA (PMBA) Student Engagement Coordinator is responsible for enhancing the overall student experience by planning and implementing programming and events, as well as advising students at the David Eccles School of Business. This role involves extensive interaction with prospective and current students, alumni, faculty, vendors, and other university stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and project management skills, be a collaborative team player, and have exceptional organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Responsibilities
Operations and Student Services: Student Engagement and Events
- Provide visionary leadership and oversight for all student-related activities, including the planning, implementation, and assessment of prospect, student, and alumni engagement programming and events.
- Work collaboratively with campus partners to develop meaningful student experiences and engaging activities.
- Provide ongoing support for student-sponsored events.
- Maintain accurate event details, updating Salesforce with attendance and other relevant information.
- Work with the manager on budget tracking and evaluation for PMBA events and other projects as assigned.
- Develop and maintain relationships with prospective and current students throughout their PMBA program.
- Conduct regular in-person and virtual one-on-one appointments with an assigned caseload of students using a holistic approach.
- Maintain student academic files, including records of advising activity.
- Leverage technology platforms such as Salesforce, Slack, and Canvas to support students, maintain academic records, and promote resources for student success.
- Manage quality PMBA class nights by coordinating logistics, supporting faculty with academic and IT needs, and ensuring a seamless experience for students.
- Leverage technology platforms such as Canvas to support faculty and enhance the learning environment.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience).
Demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills
