Working Hours:Hours may vary depending on the needs of the department and the schedule will include days, nights, and weekends. Travel within the district will be required.
Required Qualifications:This position requires a bachelor’s degree and one (1) year of related work experience.
Key Responsibilities:This is not a comprehensive list of responsibilities.
- Interacts with high school career and guidance counselors, community-based agencies and human services providers. Develops referral networks with outside agencies.
- Assists with implementation of College recruitment activities including personal visits and follow-up, staffing booths at events or fairs, high school visits, conducting telemarketing efforts and assisting in direct mail initiatives.
- Informs new and prospective students of College majors and course offered on various campuses and assists students with admissions processes.
- Makes presentations on college programs, courses and the mission of the College as requested or assigned.
- Reviews and processes student applications and educational records/transcripts. Discusses and makes recommendations on programs of study and communicates College policies and procedures and admissions requirements. Informs students of available funding resources.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Requires proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Requires excellent verbal and written skills.
- Must have excellent customer service.
- Must have strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Requires work that involves walking or standing some of the time, exerting up to ten pounds of force on a recurring basis.Some heavy lifting will be required during special events.
- Will experience exposure to indoor and outdoor temperatures.
- Must possess a valid Florida driver's license.
