Position Overview
The Student Services Coordinator Internship Coordinator for the G. Brint Ryan College of Business will assist undergraduate students with the internship requirements and processes.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in related field and two years of student services, student affairs, counseling, advising, or related experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Excellent public speaking skills with experience in conducting training workshops.
- Ability to provide leadership and mentoring to student populations.
- Experience in networking across departments and programs.
- Ability to communicate and work with a diverse population.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to simultaneously execute multiple projects.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, and computer skills. Understanding of current best practices in internships and experiential learning in higher education settings.

Job Duties:
- In collaboration with the appropriate academic department, provides oversite of the internship request process ensuring timely review of requests to obtain for-credit internships and taking the initiative in moving requests forward in the for-credit internship approval process.
- Process all internship applications and evaluations according to university and Ryan College of Business policies.
- Utilize Handshake or other approved system to manage the approval of internship postings on a timely basis.
- Coordinates student reporting based on the requirements of the internship program for each major. Provides data to faculty specification in a timely manner.
- Conducts activities according to the most current G Brint Ryan College of Business Internship Policy and specific guidelines of individual academic departments and programs with oversight of the internship for their department or major.
- Coordinates with recruiters, employing organizations, and internship supervisors to verify student submitted information for credit internship approval process.
- Ensures that employers/intern supervisors are completing required internship evaluations according to for credit course requirements.
- May participate in employer site visits in support of internship program during interns work semester.
- Maintain accurate data, records, and files to track the activities, achievements, participation, progress, and status of individual students for internships, job shadowing, and mentorships. Collect data for analysis, evaluation, and program improvement to develop reports on the statistical data for all internship opportunities and present to appropriate groups.
- Other duties as assigned.

Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm, occasional nights and weekends
