Wilmington College is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Student Success Coordinator on our main campus. The Student Success Coordinator works directly with students, faculty, staff and administrators to resolve student issues and concerns. Assist students in resolving academic, personal, emotional and social problems, which may interfere with the student's ability to succeed at Wilmington College.
Duties and Responsibilities
Support student success and retention efforts by providing holistic support and student referrals to campus office
Regularly monitors the progress of assigned caseloads, including responding to J1 alerts
Develop specialized programming for students to help them understand college expectations, financial wellness, academic policies, and successful
navigation of Wilmington College
Collaborate within across the college to support academic success, orientation, career services, and retention programs and activities
Keep students informed and engaged in essential college processes, procedures and policies
Serves as an advocate to help students navigate college policies and procedures
Maintain student files, records and data in accordance with federal, state and university regulations
Strong attention to detail and time management skills that ensure the ability to manage a caseload of students
Facilitate one-on-one and small group sessions around academic success strategies, time management and study skill development
Coordinate one of the following initiatives: First Year Connection, First Generation Student Programming or Quaker UP Experience (Student
engagement initiative)
Preferred requirements include:
- Bachelor's degree and one year of office experience, preferably in a higher education setting
- Masters degree preferred
- Excellent oral and written communication
- Time management and organization with attention to detail
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office products especially Outlook, Work, Excel and Sharepoint.
