The Charter School for Applied Technologies (CSAT) opened its doors in 2001 as a 700-student school serving grades K-6. Today, CSAT is a busy campus consisting of three distinct buildings (Elementary, Middle and High Schools), that host approximately 2,300 students from 19 different school districts throughout WNY.

Job Summary
The Study Hall Aide is a non-instructional position at CSAT and is responsible for providing a supervised and structured environment for students. The Aide is required to work with classroom teachers to coordinate the academic activities students in study hall and provide assistance to students in completing the assigned work as needed. The Aide is required to monitor students and maintain a safe and orderly environment within the study hall period.
Essential Job Duties
- Assist in planning and preparing the learning environment, setting up interest centers and prepare needed materials and supplies
- Help with operations of audio/visual aids and other classroom technology as needed
- Participate in professional workshops that work for the improvement of early childhood education
- Communicate with, assist, and answer questions from the students as required on routine day-to-day classroom operations
- Treat all children and parents with dignity and respect
- Maintain confidentiality about children, their families, and other employees
- Practice appropriate safety and injury prevention methods and procedures
- Staff meetings and recommended training programs as necessary
- Coverage of classes when teachers are out for the day
- Maintaining a safe and structured environment that fosters a culture of learning
- Other duties as necessary
Qualifications, Education, and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in related Education discipline
- Highly organized and independent worker with excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills
- PLC model experience (Professional Learning Communities)
- Superior skills to work with others and the ability of being a team player
- Proficient working with current classroom technologies
- Ability to pass NYS fingerprint clearance
