SECURITY CLEARANCE:
- Applicant must be eligible for a Department of Defense (DoD) personnel security clearance.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in training others in the operations and performance of systems.
- Assist in accomplishing Engineering Change Instructions.
- Install, monitor, and service equipment and systems.
- Comply with engineering documentation standards, engineering plans, system specifications, and test procedures.
- Perform and test evaluation, check-out, and certification tasks.
- Perform validations/verifications of various electronic systems.
- Provide technical data and evaluation components, equipment, and systems consistent with engineering plans, layout, and contract requirements.
- Support systems engineering activities with subject matter expertise.
- Demonstrate experience working with Systems and Equipment onboard all classes of Navy Submarines, including new construction, and ashore training facilities.
EXPERIENCE:
- Four (4) years of practical experience, to include: electronics repair, maintenance and checkout.
- One (1) year of practical experience in electronics installation.
- Demonstrate experience working with Systems and Equipment onboard all classes of Navy Submarines, including new construction, and ashore training facilities.
EDUCATION:
- High School Diploma or GED or formal training from: Technical School or Class A or B military school in electronics or communications, or four (4) year electronics apprentice program.
- Must be Cyber Security Work Force (CSWF) certified for Information Assurance Technician Level II (IAT-II). This requires one of the following certifications: CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security + CE, CND and SSCP. Must have one of these certifications at time of hire and it must remain active.
