following opportunity. Description LSS Fahrman Center is currently
seeking a Substance Abuse Counselor to join our residential treatment
team! This 42-bed adult facility offers addictions treatment to men and
women using evidence-based and client driven therapies. Fahrman Center
offers a home-like environment, variety of treatment options, after
care, family programming, and halfway house services. The right
candidate will possess a valid credential as a Substance Abuse
Counselor - In Training from Wisconsin Department of Safety and
Professional Services. The position is primarily Monday through Friday,
but may require some evening hours. Compensation is commensurate with
licensure level. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: This list of
duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to
include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem
necessary from time to time. Provides addiction counseling with
supervision and/or case management services to clients in an outpatient,
residential or case management setting. Completes assessments,
diagnostics, screening and referral. Obtains required additional
supervision if using UPC, ASAM, AODA assessments such as SUDDs or
DSM/ICD 10 criteria. Provides Employment Specialist services to clients
as needed. Prepares and completes all required documentation according
to state, federal and agency standards in a timely manner. Coordinates,
plans and facilitates client sessions, including group and individual
services. Provides a high level of excellence in communication
internally and to our external partners, both written and verbal. May
provide outreach and education to the public/market services. Provides a
high level of case management services and coordinates the various
social, community and mental health services received by clients.
