Job Description

Turning Winds Academic Institute is a residential treatment center for teens who have a wide variety of emotional, mental, social and behavioral struggles. We are located in the beautiful mountains of northwest Montana. We provide individual, family and group therapy with a licensed clinician, outdoor recreation, development of life skills, the teaching of appropriate social relationships, leadership development, field trips which are conducive to learning, and an academic institute with a time tested individualized one-on-one teaching style. Our unique and sought after program offers a one of a kind, therapeutic model that takes the most successful therapeutic elements, from a host of different disciplines, and combines them into one life-changing environment. All of these services help our students develop the character needed to succeed where they have failed in the past.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

• Provide weekly individual, family and group therapy
• Caseload of approx 7-10 clients
• Complete diagnostic intake assessments, master treatment plans and discharge summaries
• Relay pertinent data to insurance companies for billing purposes
• Provide crisis interventions and assessments as needed
• Responsible for verbal and written communication with families, insurance companies, program staff and educational consultants as needed
• Develops aftercare assignments

Qualifications and Skills

Qualifications:

• Must be licensed as an addictions counselor in the state you reside in and be able to be licensed in Montana within 30 days.
• Desirable: Experience working in RTC or therapeutic boarding school

Salary: $59,000.00 to $62,000.00 /year
