Seeking a highly skilled Substation Foreman to oversee daily field operations, ensuring safety, productivity, and efficiency on site. This role involves guiding crews, working closely with the Superintendent, and ensuring that all personnel are trained and adhering to safety protocols. As a leader, you will help manage sub-contractors, assist in project documentation, and oversee the execution of the construction schedule.
This position requires 100% travel throughout the Midwest region.

Job Details
Seeking a highly skilled Substation Foreman to oversee daily field operations, ensuring safety, productivity, and efficiency on site. This role involves guiding crews, working closely with the Superintendent, and ensuring that all personnel are trained and adhering to safety protocols. As a leader, you will help manage sub-contractors, assist in project documentation, and oversee the execution of the construction schedule.
This position requires 100% travel throughout the Midwest region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and work alongside a crew consisting of Journeymen, Apprentices, Operators, and Groundmen.
- Organize and allocate materials, tools, equipment, and resources to ensure timely project completion.
- Collaborate with the Superintendent and Project Manager to oversee complete installations on smaller projects.
- Supervise work progress and ensure adherence to safety protocols and productivity standards.
- Provide hands-on training in technical skills and safety practices for field personnel.
- Maintain compliance with OSHA and company safety regulations, ensuring all job sites are hazard-free.
- Monitor and maintain tools, equipment, and materials, ensuring staff is trained in their safe operation.
- Handle troubleshooting and installation of electrical systems.
- Foster strong working relationships with crew members, subcontractors, and clients.
- Manage project paperwork, including time reporting, purchase orders, and employee documentation.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Journeyman Certificate.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 4 years of Substation Foreman experience.
- NCCCO certification is preferred, but not required.
