Belle Creek provides its students with a rich and immersive learning experience in grades kindergarten to eighth grade. K-3 students are taught using the Orton-Gillingham approach, which is a direct, explicit, systematic, and sequential instruction, incorporating multi-sensory learning. This instruction aligns with the Science of Reading.
What support does BCCS offer teachers and students?
We provide several levels of support for students and teachers by having instructional paraprofessionals and in-house Special Education, Gifted and Talented, and Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Education coordinators. Additionally, we have special service providers for Speech and Language, Occupational and Physical Therapy, and a comprehensive mental health team.

Our building recently expanded, including a state-of-the-art performance stage, art room, life skills classroom, and a science lab. We also added an inviting staff lounge with a patio for our staff to enjoy. Compensation:
$125.00 - full day (4 or more hours)
$62.50 - half day (less than 4 hours)
$135.00 - Super Sub full day
$145.00 - Long-Term Substitute Assignments

Nature of Work:
As a substitute teacher, you are responsible for classroom management and delivering planned lessons in the absence of the regular classroom teacher. Responsibilities include supporting students’ learning, monitoring progress, and providing feedback. Effective communication with school staff is essential in this role. Adaptability is key as substitute teachers may teach various subjects and grade levels. Overall, the position plays a vital role in ensuring educational continuity and fostering a positive learning environment.
Required Qualifications:

A valid Colorado Department of Education teaching license or substitute authorization.

The ability to handle many complex tasks simultaneously.

The ability and interest to be part of a high-functioning team. (having respected and trusted colleagues, preferably as teammates, makes the demands of teaching sustainable.)
