Summary:
This positions provides non-clinical services including but not limited to Education, Vocation, Employment, Physical health, Emotional/Mental health, Family/Social needs, Living arrangements/housing, Legal status, Basic needs of food, clothing, and utilities, Life skills, Child care, Transportation, Engagement into Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT).
- Serve as a role model, mentor, advocate, and motivator as a way to give back to the recovery community
- Monday through Friday, daytime hours with flexible start and end times to create work/life balance
- Full-time and Part-time positions available
- Part-time rate: $18.00 per hour
- Full-time rate: $37,000 per year
Essential Responsibilities:
- Assist individuals in their attempt to recover from substance use disorder-related problems
- Advocate to eliminate barriers, increase natural supports and build community
- Meet with consumers to connect to necessary resources in the community such as education services, employment, transportation, housing, basic needs, ect
- Connect consumers with sponsors and community meetings
Education/Experience Requirements:
- HS Diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license, personal cell phone, and an insured vehicle
- Staff in recovery from a substance use disorder must have a minimum of two years of uninterrupted recovery and currently working a personal program of recovery
Preferred Requirements:
- Pennsylvania Certification Board (PCB) Certified Recovery Specialist (CRS) or Certified Family Recovery Specialist (CFRS) credential
- Any individual who does not have a CRS, and/or CFRS will be required to actively work on obtaining these certifications
- Proficiency in documentation

- PA Child Abuse History Clearance (Act 151)
- PA Criminal History Clearance (Act 34)
- PA Department of Human Services: Use service code 1KG738
- Educational Documentation: Official Transcripts
- Child Abuse Mandated Reporter Certificate
- Certified Recovery Specialist Certificate: If acquired
