Job Summary



Summary: Supports operations teams to ensure food service quality standards are met and executed efficiently.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


*Retrieves all needed food items from kitchen and delivers to bar area.

*Retrieves all needed beverage items and garnishes from storerooms and delivers to bar area.

*Sets up bottles on bar with 'top shelf' liquor on back shelf.

*Ensures beer taps are working properly.

*Places appropriate bar snacks on counter; keeps supplies, such as snacks and napkins, stocked throughout shift.

*Assists in opening and closing side work as assigned.

*Buses tables in bar area.

*Helps ensure the cleanliness and tidiness of the bar or lounge areas; washes work tables, walls, refrigerators and floors under equipment; sweeps and mops service areas, including floor mats.

*Ensures rubbish is removed from all receptacles.

*Prepares and serves beverages as needed to assist bartender.

*Delivers food to restaurant/dining room patrons/customers.

*Follows principles of sanitation and safety in handling food and equipment.

*Interacts with customers in order to assure customer satisfaction.

*Interacts with co-workers in order to assure compliance with company service standards.

*Completes side work as assigned.

*Promptly and warmly greets and directs guests to their tables based on availability or desired seating arrangements.

*Helps create an overall enjoyable dining experience and promotes a safe, clean and neat environment for guests and other associates.

*Exhibits exceptional communications skills. Gets along well with others, demonstrates flexibility and patience; possesses an interest in people.

*Maintains a high level of sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information that is shared.

*Supervises the activities of food-service associates in the dining room to ensure proper customer service, food handling and sanitation procedures are followed.

*Helps train new food-service team members.

*Assists with service, including occasional bussing and food service, while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards.

*May be asked to operate equipment, including but not limited to fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells and coffee machines.

*Works with staff of other departments to perform job duties and during special events or functions.

*Delivers food to restaurant/dining room patrons/customers.

*Follows principles of sanitation and safety in handling food and equipment.

*Interacts with customers in order to assure customer satisfaction.

*Interacts with co-workers in order to assure compliance with company service standards.

*Completes side work as assigned.

*Performs other duties as assigned.
