What we need and what’s in it for you…
We’re looking for exceptional interns interested in pursuing a career in Information Technology to participate in a professional, comprehensive learning experience. This is an excellent opportunity for talented individuals to gain valuable experience at a growing and successful technology company while working onsite at our Southington or Rocky Hill offices. Ideal candidates will be highly motivated rising college juniors or seniors with a passion for learning and delivering quality service. Our paid interns will work a 30-hour, 4-day week for a period of 10 to 12 weeks beginning June 2, 2025. This is an onsite program and local candidates are preferred.
As part of our intern program, you will participate in fun teambuilding events, lunch and learns, company outings, and take part in a collaborative project to cap off your learning experience. There’s no making coffees or copies here; COCC interns deliver direct client support and keep valuable projects moving.
What you’ll do…
While we are currently determining our needs for specific positions within our teams, we anticipate openings in the following areas. Please note your area(s) of interest on your application.
- Corporate Services (Southington) – Accounting, Human Resources, Contracts and Vendor Management, and IT Audit focus on supporting COCC employees and internal infrastructure.
- Business Development (Southington) – This team generates new business for COCC, and interns have supported pricing and competitive research projects
- Customer Service (Southington)– These teams are responsible for product direction, functionality and positioning to clients/prospects related to COCC’s two core platforms; INSIGHT and iBanking.
- Technology Operations (Rocky Hill) – The Windows teams support the tech needs of employees including desktop, virtual machine and systems support
- Technical Services (Rocky Hill) – Focused on the tech needs of our clients, the Client Care, Cyber Defense, SOC, Professional IT Services, VMWare and WAN teams troubleshoot and consult on COCC’s products
- Software Development (Southington) – Comprised of analysts, developers, engineers and project managers, this team develops and supports COCC’s products for our clients
What you bring...
- Must be a rising or current Senior enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program preferably in MIS, Data Science, Computer Science, Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, Marketing or related course of study. All majors are considered for our program.
- Must be available to work onsite in Rocky Hill or Southington, CT for the duration of the program. Interns do not work remotely and local candidates are preferred
- Professional demeanor with ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with all levels of the organization
- Self-starter with the ability to work successfully both independently and as part of a team
- Academic experience and a passion for working with technology applications
- Customer service minded and motivated to do right by the client or team
- Eagerness to develop professional workplace skills through events, team building activities and trainings
The salary range for these positions ranges $20 - $26 / hour
