As an intern at Greif will enable you to:

• Apply academic knowledge to real-world scenarios, gaining industry experience

You will have the opportunity to:

• Assist in engineering assignments and ongoing projects
• Familiarize yourself with departmental functions
• Attend events and functions including social networking events and roundtables
• Contribute meaningfully to performance goals and assigned projects
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Experience a product development process
• Monitoring and measuring machine processes to help optimize product
• Interaction with the machines to include machine controls and possible PLC interface and product profile adjustments
• You can work with every type of plastics process equipment that is out there with one facility.

Required Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering
• Minimum completion of two years or more of college preferred prior to the start of your internship
• Good academic standing with your Chemical engineering major and school
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
• Able to work 40 hours for the duration for the internship May, 2025-August, 2025

• Understanding of basic engineering principles and relevant functions
• Relevant work experience or involvement with professional clubs/organizations
• Ability to work effectively both independently and on a team
• Curiosity and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and oral communication, organizational, time management, analytical, and adaptability skills
• Strong customer service skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Plastics experience is a plus
