Ebenezer is offering a paid RN student nurse internships for up to 10 weeks (end of May- Aug 9, 2025) at our vibrant and busy Transitional Care - Aurora on Frace TCU in Edina, Minnesota. Student Nurse Interns will be mentored one-on-one with a registered nurse to gain hands-on nursing experiences to improve your technical, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills with sub-acute adult patients.
Aurora on France TCU (transitional care unit) is part of an innovative care community, connected to Fairview Southdale hospital in the heart of Edina, MN near Hwy. 62 and France Ave. and several bus lines. - Position will work a minimum 64 hours/two weeks and can work a max 80 hours/two weeks.
- May require a weekend rotation.

Responsibilities/Job Description:

- Real-world experience under the guidance of RN mentors at Ebenezer Transitional Care TCU unit (sub-acute surgical/medical patients)
- Hands-on experience in a variety of areas, including patient assessment, interventions, care planning
- May manage maintenance medications under direct supervision of RN (if location/policy allows)
- Opportunities to work with various health care professionals in a variety of roles and patient care settings
- Opportunities to increase self confidence in patient care
- Preferential status for employment as RN with MN Largest Senior living Operator, upon graduation
- Opportunities to work in casual or part-time cna/resident assistant job while finishing degree
- Currently enrolled in an accredited ADN or BSN/BAN RN nursing program - graduating Dec 2025 or Summer/Sept 2026
- Applicants will have completed junior year and finished two nursing RN clinical rotations by start of Summer nurse internship and cannot have an active RN licensure.
- Current BLS/CPR for healthcare providers cert. by start date and remain current through August 2025.
- Able to attend required orientation days and on-site nursing orientation during their first week (typically 4-5 days likely at the end of May)
- Able to work a minimum of 64 hours in two weeks
- Able to work with a diverse population of patients and coworkers, including subacute and geriatric
- Ability to communicate effectively with empathy and kindness for others
- Desire to grow with Ebenezer and pursue a new graduate RN role with our organization
- If you accept a Summer Nurse Intern job offer, then must enroll/finish Internship course at a MN based college nursing program Summer 2024
- Prefer: min 3.0 GPA
- Prefer: previous experience working in a patient/resident support role
