About the Job
Our client, a growing general contractor, is seeking a talented Aviation Construction Superintendent/Project Manager to join their team. As the Senior Construction Manager, you will be responsible for the overall project performance, including costs, schedule, quality, and project status. You will collaborate with clients, design teams, general contractors, airport management, airport officials, and key stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
To excel in this role, you must possess strong oral communication skills and can understand and follow oral and written communication. Demonstrated leadership ability in managing staff and project efforts and a progressive and innovative attitude toward construction technologies are essential.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, MS Project, SharePoint, AutoCAD, Primavera P6, Adobe Acrobat, Bluebeam, Procore, etc.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent real-world experience
- Minimum of ten (10) years of proven experience as a Senior Construction Project Manager on commercial construction projects, preferably aviation, valued at $50 million or more
- Valid Driver's License and ability to obtain Airport Security Badging Credentials
- Basic knowledge of reading and interpreting construction documents, construction plans, and specifications
- Ability to understand and interpret construction and master schedules
- Aptitude for construction estimating (conceptual and detailed estimating tasks)
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Proficiency in computer software applications utilized to administer terms of the contract through project controls
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain excellent relationships with clients, architects, consultants, subcontractors, and other key stakeholders
- Provide overall accountability for the planning, design, permitting, construction, financial controls, and closeout/turnover of construction programs/projects
- Support the delivery of client programs/projects on time, within budget, and to a mutually agreed-upon level of quality
- Track progress of projects against goals, objectives, approved budgets, and timelines
- Implement change management strategies to assess change requests and make recommendations
- Liaise with governing authorities and regulatory agencies
- Understand and enforce contractual responsibilities and assist with dispute resolution
