SUPERINTENDENT - HEAVY CIVIL CONSTRUCTION

Our client is a well-respected Heavy Civil Contractor with an impressive line up of projects. They have an excellent team, solid ability to execute, and true understanding of what it takes to build world class-projects with-in budget and schedule. The client is looking for a Superintendent to plan, organize, and direct activities concerned with the construction and maintenance of munipality work - Earthwork/ Utilities/ Site Development.
Job Description:
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Confer with supervisory personnel, owners, contractors, and design professionals to discuss and resolve matters such as work procedures, complaints, and construction problems
- Attend and participate in Safety Training Program and enforce safety procedures
- Verify subcontractor certificates of insurance
- Prepare and maintain responsibility for CPM job schedule
MINIMUM SKILLS OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- 3+ years Excavation/ Utility construction experience
- Construction Management, Civil Engineering degree or equivalent experience.
- Extensive field construction experience at supervisory level
- Detailed Knowledge of job scheduling, planning, expediting and cost control
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills with MS Office, Excel, Procore, Primavera or other scheduling software.
- Excellent problem-solving and sense of urgency
