Our client is a self-performing general contracting firm specializing in civil construction, demolition and site preparation. They also do concrete flatwork, tenant improvements, HVAC installations, facilities maintenance and design build for both horizontal and vertical construction.
Their client base is primarily the United States Government including the Veterans Association, NVAVFAC, Air Force, GSA and USACE.

Job Details
Currently they are looking for a Superintendent with experience working on VA projects.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the successful execution of federal construction projects, ensuring adherence to project plans, specifications, and federal regulations.
Maintain the project RFI and Submittal logs.
Maintain the project schedule, three week look ahead and lean board.
Collaborate closely with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure efficient project completion within budget and schedule constraints.
Utilize your extensive knowledge of federal contracting, including USACE and VA processes, specifications, and standards, to ensure project compliance and successful delivery.
Maintain a strong focus on on-site safety programs, ensuring compliance with all federal safety regulations and fostering a safety-first culture among the project team.
Conduct regular inspections to assess project progress, identify potential challenges, and implement effective solutions to maintain project momentum.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to address design changes, technical issues, and constructability challenges.
Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily logs, progress reports, and as-built drawings, utilizing Microsoft 365 and Procore proficiency to manage project records
Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the construction team, promoting a positive and collaborative work environment.
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent in federal contracting, with specific experience on VA projects.
Demonstrated expertise in tenant improvements, showcasing successful project delivery in these areas.
In-depth understanding of VA processes, specifications, and standards.
Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and Procore, with the ability to effectively utilize these tools for project management and documentation.
Strong organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
Proven leadership abilities, inspiring and motivating the construction team to achieve project goals.
