We seek professionals preferably with experience in TI and related work for constructing a Fire Station. It is an added plus if you have OSHA and QCM certification. Responsibilities will range from foundation, structure, and façade through mechanical, electrical, and plumbing to interior rough and finish. The Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing, managing, and documenting all day-to-day job sites. Activities, including communicating issues, events, performance, problems, and progress daily to the Project Manager and facilitating the most cost-effective solutions to situations that may arise. Applicants selected may be subject to a government security investigation and meet eligibility requirements for access to military installations.
Qualifications & Responsibilities:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction. At least three years as a superintendent on projects similar in size and complexity in all phases of heavy commercial, construction, and government construction contracting.
- Experience with site work, concrete, electrical, and playground installation.
- Primarily responsible for managing subcontractors and coordinating day-to-day production and schedule adherence on the project.
- Must be on-site at all times during the performance of the assigned project until the work is completed and accepted.
- Must be familiar with the requirements of EM 385-1-1 and have experience in hazard identification and safety compliance.
- Must be capable of interpreting a critical path schedule and construction drawings.
- Skills: Computer literate with Microsoft Office Suite software, ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing, problem solve, supervise, organize, blueprint reading, and schedule knowledge.
- Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to military installations.
- The ability to travel with possible short-term relocation, as required.
