Under the direction of the Public Safety Manager ,Communications Center. Supervise the switchboard operators, dispatchers, oversee daily functions; paging, emergency calls, monitor equipment, pager exchanges and on-call schedules. Maintain pager inventory and staffing schedule. Update facility directories annual. Liaison with paging vendor. Additional duties as required.
Responsibilities
Oversees daily operations of switchboard operators; dispatchers, paging, emergency calls, monitoring, on-call schedule and patient information - 40% � Maintain staffing schedule & process payroll - 20% � Maintain pager inventory & provide pager exchanges. Liaison with paging vendor - 10% � Establish & enforce work standards & quality improvement goals - 5% � Develop and maintain policies and procedures - 5% � Evaluate staff's performance & provide feedback - 5% � Interview candidates for openings and make hiring recommendations. Oversee training of new hires & provide orientation - 5% � Administer performance evaluations and disciplinary actions - 5% � Update facility & staff directories annually - 5% | Review the physical demands and assign an overall average percentage of time this position performs these activities. These physical demands will not be listed or rated on the annual performance appraisal.
