Key Responsibilities:
This supervisory position is required to manage all aspects of the Ground Service Equipment (GSE) and Facilities Maintenance hub warehouses. This position is designed to ensure support and oversight for represented warehouse workgroups. These workgroups will provide dedicated parts and tooling support for our GSE and Facility Maintenance teams. This position reports into the central team that is responsible for running the supply chain of parts inventory to support United's GSE & Facility Maintenance Operations system-wide.
Warehouse Operations Management
- Supervise warehouse productivity; coordinate training; manage employee dependability issues; support team recognition program as well as support employee accountability programs in accordance with policy
- Supervise Warehouse team performance and execution against all division and corporate objectives
- Maintain staffing levels and ensure members are properly trained and equipped to support all job functions, including receiving, parts issues and receipt, physical inventory, safety, environmental and best housekeeping practices
- Maintain a positive working relationship in a union environment promoting collaboration and meeting established metric goals
- Lead safe and environmentally efficient Warehouse team operations in a positive, productive, and safe work environment
Inventory & Supply Chain Management
- Work with planning team and stakeholders to determine best economical stocking levels with consideration for local stock ordering intervals, vendor lead times while protecting critical part stock levels
- Procure, maintain and control the required specialty tooling inventory to support our customers
- Identify parts, alternates, vendor availability and pricing
- Ensure parts warranty and cores are properly managed and controlled
- Support system-wide strategic initiatives
Stakeholder & Customer Alignment
- Maintain proactive communication and positive relations with warehouse team and customer group stakeholders
- Partner with all local customer bases ensuring positive customer relations and service-level goals achieved
- Manage accurate and effective customer reporting and communications programs while sustaining positive customer service and effectiveness ratings
- Involve stakeholders ensuring warehouse scheduling meets work demands
- Support safety/OSHA, environmental and training program compliance

What’s needed to succeed:
- High School diploma, GED or the education equivalent
- Minimum two years' experience in a supply chain or warehousing-related role
- Lead or supervisory experience, Ability to lead a team of warehousing personnel
- Knowledge of planning and execution of maintenance operations
- Advanced computer skills (MS Office Products)
- Previous experience with and proficiency in warehouse/inventory management system(s)
- Must possess a valid state issued driver's license
- Limited travel (up to 10%)
- This is an operational position which may require you to be on-call and available at night, weekends and holidays
- Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
- Reliable, punctual attendance is a crucial function of the position
What will help you propel from the pack:
- Bachelor's or Associate’s degree in business/supply-chain or related field
- ASE Certification and/or related Skills/Trades Licenses
- Experience facility and building maintenance/systems-related maintenance operations
- Knowledge of Ground Service Equipment (GSE)/automotive-related maintenance operations facilities/building maintenance skills, trades, such as electrical, HVAC, conveyor, plumbing, building maintenance/systems
- Experience managing a union-represented frontline workforce
