PeopleShare is hiring for a Production supervisor in the Hamburg and Leesport PA area!

Position Overview:
The Production Supervisor provides leadership and direction for the production department as directed by the Plant Manager for . This will include coordinating the daily activities of multiple areas at QP & HF Operations.

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Understands production orders or schedules to ascertain product data such as types,
• quantities, and specifications of products and scheduled delivery dates in order to follow
• the plan of department operations, including feather building.
• Responsible for verification of proper labeling program in compliance with USDA
• standards.
• Responsible for ensuring that employee time is being reported and tracked properly daily.
• Directly responsible for the development, training/job rotation, and evaluations of all
• hourly employees.
• Enforce compliance of SOP's (Standard Operating Procedures), SSOP's (Sanitary Standard
• Operating Procedures), GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), HACCP (Hazard Analysis
• Critical Control Point) and all other programs and compliance standards in the plant.
• Monitors supply inventory and orders necessary supplies for various areas of production.
• Manage PDS settings to produce requested products through established parameters and
• review/update settings on a consistent basis to prevent any production variances.
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures,
• complying with legal codes and regulations.
• Report any damages to company property.
• Report any animal welfare related issues to management immediately. (HF Only)
• Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures.
• Completes other duties as assigned

Requirements: 
JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent requires.
• AA or BS/BA degree in related field preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of equivalent supervisory experience in a manufacturing/production facility required or 5 years of equivalent Supervisory experience without education qualifications; poultry facility preferred.
• Bi-lingual Spanish/English preferred.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to independently make decisions with minimum supervision.
• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and food process equipment.
• Advanced personal computer skills: Working knowledge of Excel and Outlook.
• Strong teamwork skills with a willingness to assist others.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to satisfy all assigned work schedules and comply with all time and attendance policies.
• Ability to comply with all company policies and procedures.
• Must be able to walk, bend, and stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance and 100 with assistance.
• Must be able to walk production floor and warehouse building.
• Conditions of the production floor and warehouse maybe cold, wet, loud and PPE is required.
• Must be able to climb and work on ladders.
