Job Summary and Qualifications

Role Summary: Supports departmental operations, programs, and activities for Medcom and supervises assigned employees. Under the direction of the Communication Services Manager performs duties of training on required equipment, collects and provides peer review data. Leads the Medcom team on regional communications and emergency management functions for the department and visitor safety support. Supports department manager in meeting departmental, organizational, and regulatory requirements. 

What qualifications you will need:

• Required Education:  High School Diploma, or equivalent
• Preferred Education:  Bachelor’s degree in Emergency Services, Emergency Management or related field.
• Required License: None
• Preferred License: None 
• Preferred Certification: EMT, AEMT or Paramedic 
• Required Experience:  Minimum of two (2) years of experience in Dispatching. Possess computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, email, Internet usage, Intranet software.
• Preferred Experience: Previous administrative leadership experience in an EMS agency
