• Assists the Manager or assumes in their absense the 24 hour responsibility for coordinating, planning, and evaluating nursing procedures and personnel in the delivery of care to the patient. 
• Provides specific and timely talent development to employees to improve performance. This includes hiring, firing, evaluating, and disciplining staff.
• Monitors and evaluates charges to assure postivie revenue production and cost reduction by enhancing resources.
• Implements improvements to meet established work unit targets consistent with established organizational processes. 
• Work may occasionally require travel to other UPH facilities. May drive a UPH vechicle, rental or own vehicle. 

Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing prgram. BSN degree preferred.

Qualifications: Current active Iowa/ Illinois license to practice as a RN. Must pocess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or obtain certification within three months from date of hire.
