About the Job
THE ROLE:
The On-the-Job Training Supervisor will work onsite and support all departments at our state of art Innovation and Manufacturing facility in here Winston-Salem, NC. The Supervisor will manage the On-the-Job Trainers and lead the development and maintenance of all manufacturing training programs, as they relate to a manufacturing environment. The incumbent will develop systems to ensure consistency and integrity of employee training and qualification programs. The Supervisor ensures employees are provided with accurate and effective work instructions (SOPs) and other documentation critical to the performance of their jobs and compliance with the FDA, cGMPs and other regulatory agencies. The incumbent will be the main contact and responsible for all outside training services that are used within manufacturing including training programs, instructors and preparation of and training materials including booklets, videos and computer learning programs.
HOW YOU WOULD CONTRIBUTE:
- Provide leadership of the OJT Program and development of Mfg./Line Trainers
- Assess relevant training needs for staff and the facility in consultation with department heads, including assessment methods and measurement systems. Design, plan and deliver training courses and programs necessary to meet training needs and/or lead this activity via systems in place. Ensure all training activities and materials meet the relevant organizational, statutory, federal, state and regulatory agencies laws and guidelines. Perform other duties, as assigned.
- Support department supervisors and managers to ensure SOP training of all employees is kept current and in compliance. Monitor and complete accurate and current training records and stay informed and current on all relevant skill and qualification requirements, keeping appropriate parties informed. Monitor and report on activities, costs, performance, etc. as the need arises.
- Meet with area management to identify training needs and gaps in skills and prepare assignments for OJT Trainers to address identified gaps.
- Provide training to all shifts, as needed, including weekends, if required. Provide New Hire/First-day training.
- Supervise all On the Job Trainer personnel including and temporary training personnel
- Assess employees as it pertains to skill set of the job role they are in, recommend training opportunities to hone skills or upskill where deficiencies may be identified.
- Maintain matrix of all on the floor employees and associated skills learned.
- Identify gaps in skills on the operations floor where additional people may be required to learn the skills needed to keep operations running.
- Ability to identify training gaps and apply sound instructional methods for improvement
- Coordinate the maintenance of training records, reports and metrics in support of site related training programs/activities with the Training Specialist(s).
- Collaborates with Prod. Mgrs/Sups on a scheduled frequency to evaluate the effectiveness of current training programs and activities
- Provide assistance to Sups and Leads to ensure all applicable tools and accesses are requested and maintained
- Perform additional duties as assigned

Job Qualifications:SKILLS AND BACKGROUND REQUIRED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
Skills:
- Proficiency in delivering effective training to all levels of employees
- Firm understanding of GMP, OSHA, FDA and other manufacturing training requirements
- Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio
- Clear, concise and comprehensive verbal and written communication skills
Experience:
- 5 years of training experience in a GMP manufacturing environment
- Knowledge and experience with reviewing and auditing training needs for continuous improvemen
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college/university; may consider candidate with an additional 4 years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 7 years of training experience in a GMP manufacturing environment
