Overview
The Supervisor, Patient Services, NBU Programs, oversees the In/Outpatient admissions process for the NeuroBehavioral In and Outpatient Programs, including guiding families through the admission process, obtaining third party payer authorizations/recertifications; managing program waiting lists; maintaining contact with all members of the interdisciplinary team, referral sources and families as necessary.
Responsibilities
Responsible for all aspects of supervision for Intake Specialists and the Administrative Coordinator including but not limited to performance management, annual evaluation, hiring and termination recommendations; training staff, ensuring appropriate levels of staffing, ensuring proper implementation of departmental policies, as well as pre-admission process management.Responsible for the management of the waiting list for NBU admissions; accept referrals, maintain contact with families and referral sources; obtain patient records and maintain evaluation files; contact insurance carriers.Coordinate with Program Director and clinical staff regarding referral problems; update status of patients awaiting admission; to assure all relevant information is communicated to team members regarding specific medical concerns beyond behavioral disorders.Responsible for the management and coordination of pre-admission requirements including notification to families of procedures; record collection for patients; presentation of referrals to NBU team; arranging accommodations for out-of-area families.Responsible for the management of insurance pre-certification for outpatient treatment/inpatient admission including the collection and communication of all relevant, required information to 3rd party payers and provision of updates to maintain authorization/on-going certification for hospital stay.Function as liaison between KKI treatment team and 3rd party payers re: patient status, treatment progress; benefits and changes.Attend monthly census with Department Director; present census and continuum of care data.Participate in project performance evaluation and improvement activities; present appropriate data re: program assessment and progress toward specified program goals. EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
EXPERIENCE:
- Previous leadership experience is required. Professional experience with staff supervision is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of three years of previous administrative support experience.
- One year experience with hospital admissions or clinical care of children with developmental disabilities and/or behavioral problems.
- One year experience with data management.

USD $48,925.76/Yr.
Maximum pay range
USD $83,900.75/Yr.
