In this role you will:
- Provide treatments and Simulations for Patients in accordance with Physicians Orders
- Participate in performance improvement initiatives for the radiation therapists.
- Develop procedures and training for therapists on new equipment and treatments.
- Schedules daily staffing for the simulators and accelerators and maintains monthly schedules
- Make recommendations on employee hires, transfers, promotions, discipline
- Coordinates the assignment of tasks and helps resolve technical and operational problems.
- Provide effective direction, guidance, and leadership over the radiation therapists
- Assist with ensuring adequate equipment and supplies for the radiation oncology department.
- Supervise overall operations and processes and provide radiation therapy to patients as prescribed by a Radiation Oncologist
- Review prescriptions and other treatment information
- communicating basic information between the MD and the patient
- Prepare equipment, such as immobilization, treatment, and protection devices; and maintaining records, reports, and files.
- Assist in dosimetry procedures and tumor localization.
- 5 Years EXP in a supervisory role Radiation Oncology
- Extensive Charge capture and Radiation Coding knowledge
- ARRT Certified
- ASRT- NYS DOH License Active,
- Graduation from an AMA approved radiation therapy program.
- NYS license as a radiation therapy technologist
- ARRT registration or current eligibility for ARRT registration is required.
