Responsibilities:

Departmental Oversight: Oversee the daily operations of the Ultrasound Department, including staffing, scheduling, and quality assurance. Quality Management: Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and accreditation requirements for imaging, quality control, and patient records. Clinical Expertise: Perform clinical ultrasound procedures and oversee the clinical instruction of students and sonographers. Leadership and Mentorship: Provide guidance and support to the sonography team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. Budgetary Responsibilities: Assist the Radiology Manager with budget management and long-range planning for the Ultrasound Department. Collaboration: Work closely with radiologists, physicists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and efficient care delivery.

Qualifications:

Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiography program. Bachelor's degree preferred. Certification: Current certification in Sonography from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS). Experience: Five years of progressive experience in sonography. Supervisory experience preferred. Must have participated in inspection and accreditation specific to Sonography.

Preferred Qualifications:

Breast ultrasound experience.

Schedule:

Full-Time: Flexible hours/schedule opportunities in accordance with departmental needs. On-Call: Availability by phone to support staff and the department during off-hours as needed.
