Responsibilities
Supervisors staff and daily operations, organizes and assigns tasks, works with the Office Manager and MA Lead to develop staff support (both clinically and administratively) in order to provide outstanding patient care and service.
Corrects office staff's payroll daily, keeps track of PTO. Keeps on-going formal written summary of occurrences. Along the office manager counsels employees when occurrences exceed acceptable limits and as needed with other policy violations.
Completes and distributes the monthly administrative schedule for the office. Assuring coverage for physician and patient satisfaction.
Participates in the interview process of new employee candidates and makes recommendations for hiring and yearly evaluations and merit increases.
Orders office supplies and assures staying within the budget. Approves invoices for payment, when applicable. Oversees the maintenance of the equipment and the building.
Works in conjunction with the Central Billing Office (CBO) to supervise billing and collection activities by ensuring that insurance co-pays are collected from patient at time of service and/or arranging for collections on self-pay patients, and identifying "missing tickets" and forwards these to the CBO for billing. Along with the manager, oversees the deposits are correct and collected funds are balanced and deposited in the bank.
Along with Office Manager, monitors and supervises confidentiality of patient medical records in compliance with HIPAA standards. Enforces other regulatory requirements and documents accordingly.
All other duties as assigned, including filing in where needed in the business areas of the office.
Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

EDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalent, Associates degree preferred.
YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: 3-5 years medical office experience required, 1 year of supervisory experience preferred.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE: Excellent computer skills, verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of medical billing and EMR preferred.
