Akima Global Services (AGS) LLC is currently hiring for Security Supervisors in the position of Armed Facility Supervisors. Armed Facility Guards report to immediate supervisors, Supervisors Armed Facility Guards, who provide instruction and direction. Supervisors Armed Facility Guards oversee all operations for his/her assigned shift; ensure all guards are on post and properly conducting activities, by maintaining proper accountability throughout the facility through digital means; ensure posts are properly staffed by approved security officers, monitor daily activity of the security staff for the shift assigned, and ensure that all security staff perform assigned duties in accordance with policy and procedure. Armed Facility Guards report to the shift's Supervisor Armed Facility Guards.
This position has a mandatory 90-day probationary period that you must pass to retain your position.
New supervisors will be subject to monthly reviews of their performance. Less than satisfactory marks may result in removal from the position or demotion to their previously held position within AGS. Probationary periods will not be waived.
Full Time Armed Facility Supervisors are needed for this vacancy announcement.
Responsibilities
+ Supervises a team of armed and/or unarmed security guards to ensure the protection of buildings, properties, other assets, and safeguards occupants and visitors during normal operations and special events.
+ Serves as a first line supervisor monitoring and directing staff as necessary, ensuring mandatory posts are always filled, performing compliance inspections, monitoring staff performance, and performing administrative tasks including timekeeping, and report tracking.
+ Determines work priorities, plans and distributes work assignments, and reviews work to ensure work completed is accurate, timely, professional, and in compliance with established regulations.
+ Develops and coordinates staffing schedules to ensure coverage at all established security posts for each shift. Conducts audits of to ensure compliance to established procedures.
+ Reviews, communicates, and provides appropriate training on changes/additions to normal routines, badge recognition and validation process, and emergency situations responses.
+ Assists leadership in overseeing shift activities, including providing input for performance evaluations.
+ Ensures all supervisors and staff are properly posted and relieved, sign in/sign out as required.
+ Ensures daily security operations of the facility are conducted within established policy and procedure.
+ Manages staff incidents, including reporting all infractions to the Project Management Team.
+ Responds to any critical incident within the facility.
+ Opens and Closes posts according to daily operational needs, and immediately report these to the Project Management Team.
+ Monitors facility security through use of roving patrols, post security checks, and/or through digital checkpoints.
+ Ensures the security of the facility, shelter care residents, employees, and visitors by securing and protecting personnel and property through placement of security guards at established posts with no missed post assignments.
+ Ensuring all posts are properly relieved as required for breaks and shift changes.
+ These responsibilities continue until relieved by the oncoming Supervisors Armed Facility Guards.
+ Immediately report all violations of orders you must enforce.
+ Gives the alarm in case of disorder or emergency. Then control and take charge of any situation within the job scope of security.
+ Report unusual events that threaten the security of the center, endangers life, or property.
+ Takes reasonable counteraction to save life and property or lessen danger.
+ Maintains supervision of all entry and egress points that are required by the contract.
+ Conducts physical and electronic surveillance in all areas of assigned responsibility.
+ Provides for site traffic control when required.
+ Maintains checklists and checkpoints throughout your assigned shift.
+ Maintains and upkeeps multiple required digital logs.
+ Will be the primary liaison between the customer and staff concerning duties and assignments for the shift.
+ Will be the primary focal point for all matters transpiring on their assigned shift at the facility between the facility and upper-level supervisors.
+ Travel up to 25%
+ Will be the focal point for employee resource management in regard to a balanced shift:
+ Day off assignments.
+ Paid Time Off (PTO) scheduling.
+ Paid Holiday off approval.
+ Emergent non-paid leave approval
Qualifications
+ Must be a U.S. Citizen.
+ Must be at least 21 years of age.
+ Must have a H.S. Diploma or GED at minimum.
+ Must be willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
+ Must have a minimum of 1 year experience in supervising armed or unarmed security/law enforcement/military related profession, either civilian or military background.
+ Must be able to read, speak, write, and understand the English language.
+ Must have intermediate written English skills, including ability to prepare detailed written reports and fill out forms.
+ Must have the ability to create and update basic digital logs and forms.
+ Must possess be able to obtain and maintain a state security armed license.
+ Must have a working knowledge of firearms and be found proficient by Sector Manager.
+ Must be able to pass all training and obtain all required certifications for maintaining position.
+ Must be able to pass a company background investigation to include criminal record check, drug test, credit report, driving record, and fingerprint checks with ability to maintain this through-out employment.
+ Must have a valid driver’s license and able to maintain.
+ Must meet client suitability checks and requirements.
+ Must be able to pass and maintain a federal background investigation for clearance.
+ Bilingual ability to speak and understand Spanish is considered a positive factor, not required.
