The incumbent will be responsible for serving as a Supervisory Human Resources (HR) Specialist within the Directorate for Operations, under the Human Resources Directorate in support of the Missile Defense Agency (MDA).
As a Supervisory Human Resources Specialist at the NH-0201-4 broadband level some of your typical work assignments may include:
Directs the operations and activities of the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Human Resources Directorate.Serves as a personnel advisor to managers and supervisors of MDA and serviced organizations (internal and external).Provides the full range of life cycle personnel management functions to include administering classification, recruitment, placement, training and development, position management, labor and employee relations and benefits and compensation.Analyzes proposed changes in organizations and operations in order to assess impact on Human Capital planning programs.Manages and encourages optimal use of HR tools, resources, and procedures through analysis of organizational needs and opportunities for improvement.Ensures highly visible, proactive, and collaborative consultation and advisory services to senior officials and line managers.Evaluates and coordinates human resources operations program goals in relationship to current and emerging human resources policies and initiatives.Fosters diversity, provides direction and guidance to managers and supervisors in establishing a commitment to diversity, and sensitivity for equal employment opportunity.Requirements Conditions of EmploymentMust be a US citizenMale born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective ServiceResume and supporting documents received by 11:59PM EST will be consideredSuitable for Federal employment determined by background investigationMay be required to successfully complete a probationary periodThis is a Drug Testing designated positionWork Schedule: FulltimeOvertime: OccasionallyTour of Duty: Maxi FlexRecruitment Incentives: Certain incentives (such as Recruitment, Relocation or Student Loan Repayment) may be authorized to eligible selectees based on agency policy and availability.Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA): ExemptFinancial Disclosure: Not RequiredTelework Eligibility: This position is telework eligibleSelective Service Requirement: Please visit
You may qualify at the NH-04 broadband level if you fulfill the following qualifications:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-03/GS-13 grade level in the Federal service:
Managing Civilian Human Resources functions and programs specific to Recruitment and Staffing, Position Management, Classification and Compensation.Guiding supervisors, managers, employees, and internal and external stakeholders in relevant functional HR areas.Analyzing and evaluating the effectiveness of HR operations and procedures and implementing improvements.Recommending solutions to problems that have significant impact on civilian human resources program operations
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social)
Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment
You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.Please limit your resume to five pages
