Supplier Quality Engineer
Collaborate with Purchasing to schedule and lead supplier assessments including qualification, approval and certification processes for supplier selection, improvement and/or disqualification. Drive improvement in Supplier Performance (Quality and OTD). Provide recommendations for design and/or inspection improvements. Manage Supplier Non-conformances and Corrective Actions.
Assess/Witness performance of non-destructive examinations as required (magnaflux, fluorescent dye penetrant, material hardness, etc.). Witness and inspect functional test both in house and at suppliers’ facilities.
Collect, manage and report on metrics associated with Supplier Performance.

Your Challenges
+ Perform internal audits and maintain processes and procedures.
+ Leads RCCA efforts and drives continuous improvement culture.
+ Performs functions necessary to support (and backup) all Quality Assurance and Quality Control functions. (Material Review Board, Corrective Action Board, Configuration Control Board)
+ Additional responsibilities as assigned to support Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering and General Business functions.
What You Bring
+ Bachelor of Science Engineering Degree (or Technical Equivalent)
+ 3-5 years' experience in Quality Assurance, Process Improvement functions with demonstrated results.
+ Possess a strong working knowledge and aptitude of quality and material requirements including (but not limited to) First Article Inspections (FAI), Material Certifications, Shelf Life, AWS Welding/Brazing, Specialty Metals, Non-destructive testing (MPT, LPT, RT, VT, and UT), and Special Processes (plating, coating, passivation, heat treatment).
+ Ability to interpret and inspect drawings with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
+ Well versed in ISO 9001, AS 9100, Military/US Navy Quality standards, and all applicable FAR/DFAR material requirements. Proficient in PC-based programs such as MS Work, Excel and Project.
+ Possess strong technical writing capability to convey clear, understandable and accurate information and data packages.
+ High degree of Self-Awareness promoting Responsibility, Dependability and Creativity. Focuses on Strategic and Critical Thinking but manages Flexibility in Decision Making.
+ Travel High (70 - 85%)
