About the Job
Selectek is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer for a direct-hire role. Our partnering company, located on the south side of Birmingham, Alabama, needs candidates with strong backgrounds in manufacturing systems to oversee production.
Employment Type: Direct Hire
Expected Pay Range: $70,000 to $80,000 based on experience
Location: Southern Birmingham, AL
Job Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering; Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering preferred
Equivalent experience may be considered
2 Years Manufacturing Engineering, Continuous Improvement, or Quality Engineering ·
Excellent verbal and written communication
Kaizen leadership experience
Limited travel required for job - 25 %

Job Details:
ISO Documentation and revision
Lead Audits
Continuous improvement through planning and leading kaizen events
Support plant operations as necessary to ensure KPI's are met
Corrective and Preventive Action using (Fishbone, DMAIC Process, 8D, 5 Whys
Address non-conformance using 5-Step corrective action process; problem description, containment, root cause analysis, permanent corrective action, and verification.
Conducting root cause and corrective action for manufacturing non-conformances
Work instructions, standard work, and process flows
Knowledge of Stainless Steel, Aluminum, Galvanized Steel
