Supplier Quality Engineer

Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain supplier quality assurance programs, policies, and procedures to ensure supplier compliance with aerospace industry standards and regulations.
- Conduct assessments and audits on new and existing suppliers to evaluate their quality management system, manufacturing processes, product quality, and approval status.
- Provide technical support to ensure suppliers understand all PO flow down requirements at the time of PO receipt.
- Collaborate with suppliers to pre-plan first article inspection activities and provide surveillance as necessary to ensure compliance with PO requirements.
- Conduct source inspection activities to verify compliance of supplied parts and materials with engineering specifications and industry standards.
- Collaborate with suppliers to develop and implement root cause corrective action plans to identify the source of quality issues and address non-conformities to prevent recurrence.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators for suppliers to drive improvement in quality, delivery, and cost.
- Assist Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Nondestructive Testing, Final Inspection, Production, and other key areas with special projects as assigned.
- Maintain excellent communications and working relationships with Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Nondestructive Testing, Final Inspection, and Production.
- Contribute to the development, implementation, and maintenance of the Quality Management System in alignment with aerospace industry standards (AS9100).
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and conform to Industries Quality Management System (QMS) requirements, policies, and procedures.
Educational Requirements:
- Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or relevant Engineering Experience.
- Knowledge of AS9100, Continuous Improvement, Epicor ERP, Operational Excellence, Engineering, and Quality Engineering principles.
